You may know of my worship ministry at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County. I now have an opportunity to serve in France!
After more than 4 years of praying and waiting on the Lord, God has thrown open a window of opportunity to serve at Calvary Chapel Lyon, a new church plant. Daniel and Jennifer Flores and their two children, Benjamin and Joshua, have recently arrived in Lyon and begun this work. They had been serving in Nice, France, for the past several years. Calvary Chapel Lyon ministers to a small start-up group in Lyon as well as a group on the Swiss border and they currently have no worship leader. I will be lead worship, immerse myself in the language and make myself available to whatever the Lord would have me do.
My desire is to serve in France long-term. I wish to live among the people, build relationships and invite people to know God, and His Word, through the person of Jesus Christ.
I have been asked to make a one-year commitment to the work in Lyon and I am praying the Lord will provide for me to serve indefinitely.
It is difficult to get a visa to live in France, however I can obtain a one-year student visa (each year) if I go as a student. I plan to enroll in the local French University, “French as a Foreign Language” program in the fall of 2011. The French have a really hard time communicating with people who don't speak their language so this training is essential. It will also give me the opportunity to connect with, and minister to students.
Please pray and consider partnering with me in this journey. I must raise 100% of my support and I’m seeking people who will support me both financially and/or spiritually. I am trusting that the Lord will provide the means for me to accomplish what He has called me to do. I have enclosed a support card and am asking you to return it to me as soon as possible. My ability to move forward depends on the timely contributions I receive.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration,
Kim
